B2B Sales and Customer Experience Manager

About the role:
The Sales and Customer Experience Manager is responsible for the sales strategy and fostering relationships within the B2B and DTC channels. This role works closely with the marketing team to ensure a cohesive communication and branding strategy across all sales channels driving revenue and market expansion. This position is responsible for using data and analytics to drive decision-making surrounding B2B and DTC customer touchpoints. This individual oversees the creation and implementation of the customer journey and manages the B2B Customer Experience Lead, providing leadership and support to ensure the success of that role.
Role accountabilities:
- Manage the B2B Customer Experience Lead and provide indirect management of outside sales reps.
- Ensure that margin requirements are considered and met.
- Strategically increase product offerings & revenue across all neighborhood pet stores.
- Cultivate connections & build relationships with top 25% of neighborhood pet stores.
- Forge strong relationships with top distributor and outside sales reps, and leverage these relationships to meet growth and revenue targets.
- Serve as account manager for direct multi-unit chains.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team to design and implement customer and product journeys for B2B customers.
- New Retailer Onboarding, Training & Education, Retention, Product Awareness, Sales Strategy Communication, Customer Support, Sales Support
- Manage the B2B Customer Experience Lead, ensuring support, growth and success for that role.
- Oversee the sales strategy and processes for distributor and outside sales reps and create best practices for achieving sales goals and managing relationships.
- Work closely with distribution and outside sales reps and multi-unit managers and buyers to ensure follow-up and accountability for business growth and retention.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to set and communicate product growth targets and opportunities for accounts to expand their product line.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop budgets and strategy for promotions, rep sample kits, employee feeder programs, and retailer programs.
- Responsible for considering and meeting margin requirements in setting product prices and discounts for distributors and neighborhood pet stores
- Responsible for representing InClover at external events such as community outreach, product demonstrations, in-store trainings, rep ride-alongs, distributor shows, and tradeshows throughout the calendar year.
- Represent InClover at select events as needed or when outside sales reps are not available.
- Analyze and report on sales data to identify growth, sales targets, revenue opportunities, performance by channel, performance by product, and account status to develop actionable growth plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Key Attributes:
- CPG pet retail experience is required.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in communication, sales or marketing, or related field – or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least 5 years of sales experience that demonstrates progressively increasing levels of responsibility within a team environment.
- Proven problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to correspond in a positive professional tone is a must.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a lean, dynamic environment using organizational skills to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience working in a CRM and ERP platform. Hubspot and Quick Books experience is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Shopify, Instagram, Facebook, and Project Management Software.
- Detail-oriented and clear communicator, known for providing exceptional service and support in a timely professional manner.
- Available to travel, up to 20% of time, including weekends as needed

- This position is open to remote work with scheduled in-office weeks for strategy planning – a hybrid position with a 2 day/week work from home is preferred
- Salary range $75,000 – $90,000
- Annual performance Bonus
- Annual revenue-based bonus (profit sharing program) when revenue targets are met
